Agile Materials & Technologies, Inc. manufactures phase shifters in thin film passive technology using ferroelectric technology, resulting in products that are less expensive than active semiconductor circuits and that do not require hermetic packaging. Phase shifters are available ranging from the single gigahertz region to 40 gigahertz, in both narrow-band and broad-band designs. Agile's technology can significantly reduce the cost of phased array systems, where the phase shifter circuit is a large fraction of the overall antenna cost. RF linearization circuits in base stations will also benefit from Agile's phase shifter technology which uses continuous analog voltage control.
